New Test Solution for Samsung

The MCE engineering team at CTDI’s Headquarters in Malsch has proactively developed a new test solution for Bluetooth headphones (so-called earbuds) for Samsung. The “Acoustic 1.0” enables hygienic, fast and reliable detection of electronic and mechanical defects by analyzing the amplitude (signal strength) and frequency. Meanwhile, the MCE engineering team is already working on “Acoustic 2.0” which will be released in Q2 2019. This extended version will also test the sensors, Bluetooth, microphone, and battery of the earbuds. In January 2019, CTDI presented the “Acoustic 1.0” to Samsung live at the CTDI Headquarters in Malsch, Germany. Torsten Heiner, Manager Service IT & Mobile Communication at Samsung Electronics GmbH, is impressed by CTDI’s latest test solution and commitment: “The “Acoustic 1.0” is a very good tool to ideally test all types of headset (Bluetooth, cable headset, etc.). This test solution is easy to use and we will definitely integrate it in our Ingoing and Outgoing Quality Control Process. The “Acoustic 1.0” is another good example of the excellent and very close cooperation between Samsung and CTDI. CTDI holds a unique position within our Smartphone Repair business, always seeing challenges as opportunities with a “can do” attitude.”
